Arthur Cassell Memorial Transitonal Housing program at Open Door Ministries is a living facility for fourteen homeless men who have a desire to live independently in the High Point community. The program helps residents through the stages of being homeless and jobless to obtaining employment and permanent housing.

The Arthur Cassell Transitional Housing (ACTH) program works with the WG "Bill" Hefner Medical Center and Veteran's Administration to provide transitional housing for homeless veterans in the High Point area. The Arthur Cassell Transitional Housing program helps the men with any problems that would be a barrier to a successful transition into independent living. Our case management service include substance abuse treatment, mental and physical health, employment, Social Security or service connected disability, legal issues, and personal relationship support. The residents at ACTH typically live at the facility between 90 days to two years depending on the need of the individual.

All veterans must go through the VA intake process at one of the multiple sites that host VA Outreach programs or at the VA hospital through Homeless Services. The stand alone sites include Open Door Ministries in High Point, Interactive Resource Center in Greensboro, and the Bethesda Center in Winston-Salem. If you know a veteran in need of housing, contact The Arthur Cassell Transitional Housing program and a staff member can assist you in helping the veteran with the intake process.
